I have started last week on writing an autobiography/success tips book. Why should you have to make all the mistakes I made? LOL While this book will have things about my life you would never believe, in order to not get sued I will keep out all real names of people, places. In dealing with my family there are times it appears they have selective memory or have existed in a world I was not part of. LOL. That shows me many people are embarrassed by the things they have overcome. I have always kept my life pretty much an open book.

I have the outline for the first 6 chapters done. I decided to post about it, so my readers can keep me on track to accomplish it. When you see what I have accomplished, it shows people that coming from the right family, going to the right school may help make it easier, but you can achieve your goals and dreams if you work hard at it. I want to help other people rise above their circumstances. I also want this book to encourage others to finish High School, get their degree, and work hard at making society a better place.

Too many people hear every day that they cannot start something. They cannot build something. That “the Man” is out to get you. Who is this man? I believe this man is you. You are the only one stopping you from achieving the success you can have.

In my counseling I hear, “but I do not like to read”. Then you better be willing to pay big bucks to accomplish the same thing. The truth probably is you are not very good at it. So turn off the TV and read. Practice it. Read comics, read picture books, read the dictionary. I can pay 20-30k a year going to college, or I can go on Amazon and buy the same books they will read for a few hundred dollars.

I hear, “but I do not have time”. Yes you do, turn off the TV, and take a bus to work instead of driving so you can read on the way to work. Get a job where you can read. I worked in a Mattress store, while preparing for my GED. I would get 3 people in 12 hours in that store on a week day. The rest of the time I read. Give up the hobby for a short while. Do your homework, while your kids do theirs. Have your wife read with you.

This is why I am writing it, when it is released I hope you like it. Keep me on track, by asking questions about it.
